After a hard summer rain in the County the air has a distinct odor.  People say it's the smell of ozone but it's clean and fresh and is one of those odors that always reminds me of little league baseball games at the W.C. Foster school in the 70s.

There is a lot of debate which Aroostook County Marden's is the best.  The Madawaska Mardens is much cleaner and more spacious than either the Presque Isle and Houlton stores.  Presque Isle is always full of hidden gems, but the jewel of the Mardens might be Houlton.  Every time I visit I am surprised by the quality of the merchandise.  Chances are, the Marden's truck stops first in Houlton and then works his way north.  This might explain the quality difference.

Bob just made a delicious pot roast.

Bob just ate some delicious scrambled eggs with bacon.

I found a great bargain on asparagus at the grocery store.

Today I used the new snowblower for the first time.  Very exciting things.
